Sweet God's Country Wedding

I'm sure that no matter where you come from that there is a running competition between areas over where is 'God's Country' and having friends and family from 'The Shire' (Sutherland Shire) in Sydney they definitely make that claim long and loud haha!

This wedding was a super special one as it was for one of my very best friends and her hubby to be was another friend that I had known through my cousin for forever! They are both pretty cruisy and fun loving people so I knew that we would have a great day. Add to that their decision that after working in events for years that they did not want the normal wedding format meant that it was destined to be a one of a kind day!

Getting ready with the girls and driving 5mins up the road to hang out with the boys for a while was a fantastic start to the day, then after their sweet and family orientated ceremony we went straight to their afternoon tea reception and had cake and sorbet by the beach at the Surf Life Saving Club!

And did Mention the cake??!! Ange made it herself and it was ah-mazing!!

Then once they drove off into the sunset (figuratively speaking) we went and had a fun and relaxed photoshoot at a little park that they had so many good memories already.

It was a really lovely mix up from the traditional flow of the day - and a big reminder to make sure you do things that make you happy on your special day!! Even if they seem a bit odd to anyone else!
