With all of the social distancing that we have been doing lately, front porch/verandah sessions have become a new trend! When you have such a lovely home though - why wouldn't you use it as the backdrop for your family photos!
Simple and a little bit more precious because it's where your family lives, laughs and loves (not to be too cliche haha!), and because it's only a 20 minute session it's not usually long enough for anyone to get too bored with it!!
I love this session for the Chalhoub family, we did it just before the social restrictions came into play and it was even more special for me to find out that they were celebrating the birthday of their little girl who is birthday buddies with my little boy!
As social distancing is starting to ease back a little but not quite enough for normal sessions to resume, Smiles from the Street is the perfect compromise! Using my telephoto lens I can capture some beautiful memories of you and your family from this time without putting anyone at risk, and I can promise you that I have been taking isolating seriously and that myself and my family have been staying home!
I will check in the day of the shoot to make sure everyone is healthy though - and if anyone from household is even slightly unwell I will postpone!
